Series DescriptionThe Photographic Collection from the Personal Papers of Walter Jona include but are not limited to 9 hardcopy photo albums and a collection of loose mixed photographs. The photographs are a mix of captioned and uncaptioned, and capture various overseas trips Walter Jona took in both a personal capacity and in his role as a member of the Victorian State Parliament. Overseas trips captured by the photograph's include Singapore, Russia, South Africa, Scotland, The Philippines, Israel, Greece, the UK, and Norway (not exhaustive). The photographs also capture various local community events and Walter and Alwynne Jona's (née Burley) wedding in 1972. The Walter Jona collection was arranged in identifiable series of records hence, the original order and arrangement have been preserved. Also included are a substantial collection of black and white photographs taken between 1905 and 1950 of Jona's youth and RAAF service, as well as several family and school photographs from this time.
