Series DescriptionHolocaust Related Exhibitions of the Sydney Jewish Museum includes material related to temporary and permanent exhibitions on the Holocaust. Material includes images; object lists; designs; texts; research and marketing items such as booklets, pamphlets, programmes as they relate to Holocaust exhibitions; high level exhibition design plan; media releases and marketing proofs. Exhibitions included but not limited to are Crossroads: Shanghai And The Jews Of China, Children's Memorial, Exile And Alienation, Resistance, Brundibar, Schindler's List, Liberation, Signs Of Life, The Long Journey To Freedom, Closer: Portraits Of Survival And Holocaust. Standout items include: exhibition and sponsorship proposals for Within The Walls, a rejection letter to Spiegelman's Maus exhibition including a letter from the Chief of Justice stating his disapproval towards the rejection, The Camps exhibition thematic compilation, Butterflies Of Hope arts and craft designs, several high level plans and exhibition designs. Others included, but not limited too are: letters from the Mayor of Jerusalem, financial correspondences (loans, donations and grants), letters from PJ Keating discussing his speech at the Children's Memorial opening, survivor and victim letters/biographies from Terezin/Theresienstadt included in the exhibition, Nazi Medicine draft proposals and panel designs, and Holocaust of Hungary photographic negatives.
