Item Description`This file includes two photographs of Chelsea Park Training Farm, two photographs for a post card for Marcelle and two photographs of an old header. A biography for Peter Michael Kloot. A chapter of Australian Jewish Historical Society about how Caroline Chisholm played an important role in Jewish immigration to the land. A book chapter "winners and losers" from book Forgotten Rebels of Eureka written by Clare Wright, describing how Jews were more quickly accepted in Australia compared to the Chinese, whereas in mainland Europe they were subject to various occupational restrictions, such as in retail or finance. Email correspondence between Bob Selinger, Marcelle Marks, Steve Strauss and Peter (?) (2copies) discussing whether or not Klasu Writtner was training at Gross Breesen. A list of students at Gross Breesen is included in the email. Correspondence between Rabbi Porush and Marks, outlining his invitation to the Rabbi to contribute to the final writing of the history of "Jews on the Land in Australia". Correspondence (includes a brochure) between Marks and Mrs Bubbay regarding a tour arranged by Ophir Tour. A report on Jews on the Land in Australia by Marks about the progress of the project and some research of Jewish farmers. A newspaper article about Jewish farmers. A research report about Jewish families in different farms. The affairs of the Great Synagogue in Sydney and some suggestions for the structure of the Synagogue. The application form for grants of assistance for cultural activities, as well as the guidelines and instructions sheet of the cultural grants program 1982/83 with the aim to assist ethnic organisations with cultural programs. Marks requested Schneeweiss for a Grant towards finalisation of the contribution but Schneeweiss almost rejected the request because of the limited budget from Executive Council of Australian Jewry. The correspondence about Marks and unknown Rabbi for permission to use his illustrations towards "Jews on the Land in Australia in the 19th Century" in the Nahun Goldmann Museum, but Rabbi rejected it. Some research and a tribute to George Berghman, who was the President of Australian Jewish Historical Society and member of the Executive and Committee. Some illustrations sought for 19th Century Farmers in Jews on the Land in Australia project by Marks. Agenda for Committee Meeting (1/11/1982) including discussed "Jews on the Land" Project. Some suggestions for approach towards the establishment of a collections policy and some problems need to be considered. A report on Royal Australian Historical Society conference with 68 Affiliated Societies held in Sydney. An article about sheep grazing and wool quality,with Mr.W.T. Merriman.
