Series DescriptionCollection of JEWS ON THE LAND includes the huge research of Jews in Australia about their stories and family trees, and some Jews who have been classified as Australians, what kind of farm life they lead in Australia. Most of the correspondence was done with Marcelle Mark from Australian Jewish Historical Society with the help of the local authorities in various places to help with in-depth research into the state of the Jews in each place of Australia and their stories. Includes the research in 19th century and 20th century in the NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. Also including some individual stories and information from Australian Jewish Welfare Society. Collection includes: Photographs; handwritten cards, newspapers, correspondence, reports, newsletter, journal, family tree, maps, booklets, photobooks, newspaper cutting for the exhibition.
