Item DescriptionThis file includes but not limited to document pertaining to the International Bible Contest held between 1963-1981 and includes letters, newspaper clippings, black/white photograph of finalists (1981), sample Questions/Answers, list of Contestants, promotional flyer and programs. Also included are the Minutes of the 22nd July and 20th October 1981 of the full committee of the International Bible Contest. Letters are to contestants and supporters such as, Ansett Airlines of Australia offer of 75% discounted fares (28/4/1981); the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) advising of proposed televised/radio broadcasts of the event (various dates). A letter to Rabbi Porush from Marjorie Harry, thanking him for sending a photograph of the memorable day in May. In an envelope is a Black/white photograph of the winners in the finals of the 5th International Bible Contest held in Melbourne 22 July 1981, written on the back are the names Prof. B. Mond, Prof. T. Muraoka, Prof. L. Waller, Rabbi Porush, Mr and Mrs Wassuer, Mrs Marjorie Harry, Mr Kandell E. Hopkins, Mr C. Hough, Mr J. Pestlinger, Rev E. Peterson, Mrs Linda Curson. Also included is a newspaper clipping of the same photo titled "Bible Quiz Winners". A Certificate certifying participation by Mrs. Marjorie Harry in the Bible contest in Australia May 17th, 1981 signed by the Consul-General of Israel, David Ben-Dov.
