Series DescriptionHandwritten and typed notes and revisions that relate to chapters of a book on the Illawarra Syngaogue. There appears to be six Chapters with the following division to the book, with no order to the papers nor a final version of any chapter. Effort has been made to group the chapters: Chapter 1 - Introductory - Illawarra Jewish Association 1931 - 1935; Illawarra Hebrew Congregation 1943 - 1954; Chapter 2 - Andover Street period 1954 - 1960; Chapter 3 - Illawarra Street period 1960 - 1967; 1967 - 1978 Chapter 4 - Noble Street Period 1978-1981 Consecration; 1981 - 1987 Chapter 5 - From 1987 including arson attack and re- consecration Chapter 6 - Appendices of office bearers 1931 to present day; references Chapter 7 - Myers era Extracts were referenced for the chapters of the book as per Series 009.9
