Series DescriptionDr Wolf (Bill) MATSDORF Papers include but not limited to documents of the Australian Jewish Welfare Society, the Jewish Council to Combat Fascism and Anti-Semitism, the Australia-Israel Society for Cultural Exchange; the Kimberley plan; personal records and papers on trends in deviant behaviour among Jewish people in New South Wales, the problems of migrants, prison after-care, the aged and mental health. Publications include but not limited to copies of his previously unpublished work, No time to Grow. The Story of the Gross Breeseners in Australia were printed by the Archive twice in 1994 for his widow, the late Hilda Meyerowitz, also a social worker, with the help of Richard Dreyfus, who wrote the preface; numerous journal and newspaper articles. 14 photos of Australian Jewish Welfare Society activities. 4 photos from the Beth Hatefutsoth Exhibition, Jews on the Land, 1983; personal family photos. See William Matsdorf Collection. Some of this collection has been copied onto a DVD. Collection also contains Matsdorf's letters, notes, stories, lectures, reports and newspaper articles. Moreover, also present are papers, addresses, reports, letters, minutes of meetings, bulletins and newsletters that pertain to Australian Welfare, After care, Rehabilitation and Mental Health. Also present is material pertaining to the Gross Bressenan study such as interviews, manuscript research material and letters. Papers and reports written by other academics are also contained in this collection. Papers, reports and letters that pertain to Israeli Welfare, After care, Rehabilitation and Mental Health is also present. Names and addresses of refugees in Australia
