Series DescriptionThis series covers Louise Rosenberg's personal papers which include but not limited to letters, correspondence, both typed and handwritten, diaries, photographs; drawings; notes and essays; addresses; printed material such as external articles and essays, ephemera such as personal invitations to balls, speech nights; weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, bat/bar-mitzvahs, gala dinners, as that related to her involvement, participation, activities and contributions in the community. This collection of papers covers her role and contribution as: - an oral historian of Jewish Refugees and Holocaust survivors in Australia; - a genealogical researcher; - the President of AJHS; - Honorary Secretary of AJHS; and - Jewish community at large // Representative in various Committees within the Australian Jewish community such as the AJHS; as well as international organisations such as ; - contributor to publications of organisations to which she either was involved, a member or a participant such as AJHS, Great Synagogue - her role and research as the Genealogist at AJHS - as participant and speaker in conferences etc. // Representative in various Committees within the Australian Jewish community such as the AJHS; as well as international organisations such as ; - contributor to publications of organisations to which she either was involved, a member or a participant such as AJHS, Great Synagogue - her role and research as the Genealogist at AJHS - as participant and speaker in conferences etc. The series contains genealogy material mainly correspondence and ephemera collected from individuals in the capacity of her work. Please note that the overall date range of series 001 includes items specifically, personal artefacts such as photographs, genealogy correspondence and research; birth and marriage certificates from the community and predate her birth, involvement/role in the community.
