Moses Rintel is a sequel to Rabbi Apple's 'The Rintel File - Part 1', which appeared in the Australian Jewish Historical Society Journal, vol. 24, Part 4, 2020: hence the subtitle. Illuminatingly exploring the highs and lows of Rintel's ministry against the backdrop of the preoccupations of the evolving Melbourne Jewish community, the article also indicates the key part played by members of the Hart family, into which Rintel married, in the establishment of Melbourne Jewry's congregational life. There is, too, an intriguing instance of Christian-Jewish cooperation
