AbstractBook Review: Jewish education has changed dramatically since the days of the nineteenth century denominational school system, with the Jewish day schools in Melbourne and Sydney, which were replaced before the end of the century by after-hours classes. These were later supplemented in Victoria by denominational religious instruction, RI, (in New South Wales called Right of Entry) and then revamped after World War II with the development of the Jewish day schools which now instruct well over half of the Jewish child population.
