Author(s) Malcolm Fredman AbstractOlga Jacobs OBE (nee Benjamin), was born in Perth and lives happily and independently in the family home in Geelong. Her parents Samuel and Ada nee Krakowski met and married in St Kilda then settled in Perth. Ada was left to raise 4 children after Samuel's death. Olga went to Ladies' College until age 14 as her older siblings were working and her stepfather was often away. Olga met and married Harold Jacobs in May 1934 in Perth. They made their home in Geelong and had one son Ivan David in March 1935. Olga was part of the Jewish community in Geelong as well as with the arts and music. She was awarded her OBE in 1976 for her community service in Geelong.
