Author Judith O'Donnell Sackville AbstractBook Review: Judith Sackville-O'Donnell expounds her theory about Ikey Solomon and Charles Dickens. She is obviously extremely familiar with Dickens' writings as she quotes liberally from them throughout the book to underline her idea that Dickens may have based his convict characters on Solomon, as Dickens himself suffered from the incarceration of his own father and, as a journalist, would have been familiar with trials such as Solomon's in the London of his day.
