AbstractBook Review: Though his focus is primarily on Melbourne, Eliyahu Honig's text is basically a critical overview of the attempts to forge a national Zionist structure from 1920 to the beginnings of the Second World War. He demonstrates that the Zionist organisation was often in a parlous state, explains why this was so, and compares all this with what was happening in Canada and South Africa. Perth seemed to be the only shining light in the Australian firmament.
