Author(s) Paul Bartrop AbstractBook Review: This is Dr Beaglehole's second book and it should be said at the outset, it is a worthy successor to her earlier A Small Price to Pay: Refugees from Hitler in New Zealand, 1936-1946 (Allen and Unwin, 1988). This book picks up where the earlier one left off, at least chronologically, in that it looks at the (mainly Jewish) refugee experience in New Zealand in the post-Second World War period rather than at the time of the Holocaust.
