Author(s) AbstractBook Review: Raoul Wallenberg is probably the most famous man in modern history about whom we do not know whether he is alive or dead, and he is famous for one of the most heroic and noblest deeds of modem times. Although he disappeared, apparently in Soviet hands, in 1945, and the Soviet Union has consistently claimed that he died in Siberia in 1947, there have been many reported sightings of him down to the present, and a small, dedicated group of activists has devoted itself to showing that he is probably still alive and that, if so, an extraordinarily terrible miscarriage of justice ought now to be corrected.
