AbstractThis article reprints many of Isaacs' letters at length and provides a running commentary on their significance. Isaacs was a young Jew from Melbourne who travelled through Europe in the interwar years and so learnt first-hand about the rise of Hitler and Nazism and the politics of the period more generally.
