Author(s) George F. J. Bergman AbstractHyam was born in 1799 in London and emigrated to NSW in 1828, planning an agricultural career. He became insolvent in 1832 and was imprisoned by creditors. He later established a tannery and opened an inn. He performed circumcisions in NSW and donated money for the building of the York Street Synagogue. He died in 1878.
