Author(s) E F Kunz AbstractBrief biography of the Rev. Isaac Friedman, a Hungarian Jew who travelled to Sydney with his family in 1833. Friedman became a general dealer in Clarence St then George St, and later also became an auctioneer. He later moved to Hobart and was involved with the building of its first synagogue. He died in 1875, aged 70.
