Author(s) David Benjamin AbstractThe motto of this Society consists of three Hebrew words, Z 'char Yemoth Olam-"Remember the days of old," a quotation from the last song of Moses our Teacher. No Australian has so helped the Jewish people observe that ancient precept as has Joseph Jacobs. In his works on Jewish history, archaeology and folk-lore, he has laid bare much of the past. This Society should know s3mething of a great man whose work has brought lustre to his native land, the history of which is our special study.
