AbstractIn the period of the gold boom, the town of Goulburn was the centre for the supplying of the Southern goldfields of the colony, as well as the channel through which their products were marketed to the outside world. The days of general prosperity were soon passed. Yet many new activities came into being for the betterment of the area during the years which followed. In these, as always, the Jewish citizens played a full part.
