Author(s) AbstractThe death took place in February, 1942, at the age of seventy-one, of I. M. Goodman, a prominent figure in Jewish communal life in South Africa, and a former Secretary of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies.The late Mr. Goodman was born in Liverpool on 16th December, 1871, and was educated at the Liverpool Hebrew Institute. He arrived in South Africa in 1895, and had a long public career, during which he filled numerous public and communal offices.
