Series DescriptionThese physical cassettes were acquired from the Australian Archive of Judaica or AAJ as it was commonly known. The cassettes are from a radio programme ran by Severyn Pejsachowicz in the 1970s-1990s called "The Jewish Radio Hour," on Radio 2EA. Each programme centred on a topic/song relating to Australian/Overseas Jewry such as the Opening of new B'nai B'rith one-million-dollar complex in Yurong Street, Sydney; 30 years of Israel; Brezniak/Bialik; Recitation Warsaw Ghetto Uprising; Vistas of Israel. Songs for Lag B’Omer; Jewish Folk Centre; Nazis in Australia etc.

The Jewish Radio Hour - 2EA is a gift from Mr Severyn Pejsachowitz, from its inception in 1976 to 1996. The second lot of tapes was sent after his death in 2010. This collection did not come with a list of what is on each audio cassette.
