Author(s) Marise Cohen AbstractThe University of Sydney was incorporated by an Act of the Legislature of New South Wales which received the Royal assent on October 1st, 1850. Four years later was passed another Act which provided for the establishment of Colleges of Residence in connection with the different religious denominations. Since that date Colleges of the Church of England, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian and Methodist faiths have been established and erected within the University grounds. So far, however, none has been established by Jews.
