Author(s) AbstractMr. Abraham Hort was one of the earliest Jewish settlers in the Dominion. He came out in the ship Prince of Wales, and arrived at Wellington on January 3rd, 1843. He was accompanied by his family, and took with him "in a religious capacity" a young man, David Isaacs, from the Jews' Hospital, London.
