BiographyJason George Falinski was born in Sydney, the eldest child of a Jewish father born in Kyrgystan. His political career commenced with the presidency of the NSW Young Liberals followed by the Australian Young Liberals. After serving as a local councillor, he won the Northern Beaches electorate of Warringah until defeated by a Teal candidate in 2022. In parliament, he is identified as belonging to the moderate branch of the Liberal Party and as a strong supporter of an Australian republic. While Mr. Falinski is not Jewish, he has been targeted with hate slurs and antisemitic defacement of photographs.
